About me

I started working as a DTP Operator at a printing house in 1994. From there I moved on to work at a reproduction house. The printing end repro industry was a great learning curve, but I needed more. I moved on to work as a DTP operator at a small ad agency and that was when I truly fell in love with the advertising industry. That was when I realised my dream of becoming an Art Director. I was very driven, and still and, to learn as much as I can on becoming one of the best creatives. It was tough out there, since everyone wanted to be the best, but that didn't stop me from reaching my goal to become an Art Director. In fact, it made me work harder to become the best in what I do. I finally got the break and never looked back since. I realised then that I was actually very good at it and the reason behind it is passion. I take so much pride in my work and my excitement helps me get the job done quickly and efficiently, from concept right through to print ready. I love pushing the boundaries, always wanting to give clients more than what they ask for. I'm the all in one deal.

Career: My career objective is to be acknowledged for my artistic abilities, from a design right through to DTP. During my career I've had the pleasure to work on many different accounts such as American Express, Audi, Nedbank, FNB, Absa, Zam-buk, IBM, Nestle, Meeg Bank, Sun International, Post Office, SAA, Bevcan, Mnet, DStv, Friskies, SA Breweries, Kumba Resources, Protex, MTN, Mercedes Benz, Spekko Rice and many more. I work effectively in a team and can adapt easily to new situations. I have a thorough knowledge of the production and printing processes and can set up work accordingly right from the start to avoid issues later on.

Work Philosophy: I don't like to waist time, my aim is to get a job out as fast as possible and to the best of my ability. I'm a fast learner and I take a lot of pride in my work. It has to be perfect before it leaves my desk. This is not just a job to me, it's my passion and I make it my mission to know why I'm doing a particular job. My need to understand what I'm working on is very important to the end result.
